Conceptual english artist, born in Epsom, Surrey, in 1967.
He studied photography at the Maidston College of Art, then at Trent Polytechnic Nottingham and then attended the Glasgow School of Art from 1990 to 1992.
From 1993 to 1996 he was a committee member of the Transmission Gallery, Glasgow.
Winner of the Turner Prize 2005, he spent most of his carreer between Glasgow and Berlin.
