Bordeaux 1847 – Paris 1933

Edmond-Louis Dupain was a genre painter and his paintings are populated by soldiers and historical figures, or by refined and elegant female figures, often accompanied by greyhounds. But he did not neglect the mythological subjects, the navies and, above all, he was a skilled portraitist.
Edmond Dupain died in his Paris home in the summer of 1933 at the age of 86.
